H-2 (Common iguana)
Iguana iguana
The common iguana is native to Central America and northern South America. It is a reptile that can grow to over 6 feet in length. Its body coloration is green to blue-gray with a crest of comb-like spines down the back and tail. These spines are most prominent on the neck. The face sports dewlaps which become more pronounced with age. Iguanas like to live in trees especially near or overhanging water. They are agile climbers and are herbivorous, though they will bite anything that threatens them. The tail can also be used to lash out at an enemy.
H-2
(Herbivore #2) was found in a city neighborhood, obviously a lost or dumped
pet. Sadly, families will take on such
an exotic pet enthusiastically, at first.
Often the interest fades quickly, and with no place to return the
exotic, the owner releases it to fend for itself. H-2 was fairly small when he first arrived,
but he has grown to his present length in only a few years.
